Trying Times
I must apologize, I am not here as often as I would like to be. My daughter has some neurological medical issues and just recently spent 4 nights in the hospital. Prior to that we have been in and out of the doctors office. This is when I am most thankful that I home school. If she was in the school system we would already be almost three weeks behind. These are trying times for us now, so if you could keep us in your prayers I would greatly appreciate it. In the mean time I want you all to know posts maybe a little further apart till we come out on the otherside of this. Thank you for understanding.

Making a Rain Barrel
he hardest part of making a rain barrel is getting the barrel itself. I recommend googling how to make a rain barrel. I found a lot of suggestion there. It takes a few phone calls, but it can be accomplished. We were lucky and have a family member who works for food company that has large barrels.
The fun part is decorating it. Thats the part I wanted to share with you all. I am not a handy woman by any means. LOL! Anyways Clarice got the duty of decorating. Clarice used some natural stencils and some pre-cut stencils to decorate it.

We have not finished the project yet. We still have to install the spicket part so we can hook up a hose and use it to water our plants. We live in Florida and there is usually water restrictions at different parts of the year. Gathering rain water is doing our part in water conservation.

Sharing My Heart
Today, I have it all. Yesterday a memory, one I protect. Tomorrow a concept, a day we might not get. There is a promise on my heart that keeps my fear at bay. If tomorrow does not come...I know I am ok.
'Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6
There are no promises of tomorrow for any of us, yet we often expect that tomorrow is a given. I know that I have been in prayer on some matters for years, and for now I am to Be Still and Let go and let God. The hard part is knowing when to go and knowing when to be still.
I am reading a couple of books and these quotes really apply to everyday life. I know for me they really grabbed tight and gave me a lil shake.
"The best test of my Christian growth occurs in the MAINSTREAM of life, not in the quietness of my study." -Max Lucado-
"I need Your presence and Your power, LORD. I can't do this without You." -Stormie Omartain-

Thinking it Through
Today was filled with reflection. My daughter has a friend and they are BFF's (Best Friends Forever). What a joy they both are to behold. Both God loving, God fearing, God obeying girls who are supporting each other through tough times. Often I find myself reminding them both not to sweat the big stuff, to worry about pre-teen things and not adult things. They smile...humoring me for a moment and then run off together giggling and chattering about how clueless I really am.
Just getting things started
This fomat is all new to me so please bare with me as I try to figure it all out.
